I fell in love with this brand the moment I set my eyes on it. I guess I could pretty much identify with the cute, quirky characters, not to mention the crazy use of colors! Vibrant and lively, it makes me happy just looking at them =)
I went nuts for a period, doing daily sweeps on eBay to see if anyone had put up any of the older collections for sale. Staying up late just to browse through eBay and tracking down elusive, sold-out items, like my Tokidoki Onitsuka Tiger Snowtopia Snow Boots and High Quartz Sneakers! And of course, accruing major expenses at that =( And when I discovered the Hello Kitty collaborations... =)
My dream Tokidoki item is the Tokidoki Singapore Wingchair. It's for sale at ClickforArt and costs 1595 English pounds! That's excluding shipping charges, which probably costs as much... =P It is limited edition and they only make 33 sets. Well, if I ever decide to set-up a Tokidoki room, this would definitely be the centerpiece...
I think it's great that Simone Legno, creator of Tokidoki, collaborates with so many different brands to bring us different Tokidoki products. I'm truly inspired by him and hope that one day, I can create my own cute brand too!
