Special Feature: My Hello Kitty Furnishings

I found a matching set of Hello Kitty coat rack and mini stool at one of my favorite Kitty store!

Can you spot it? Its right there!
Two colors to choose from, Pink or Red... I wasted quite a bit of brain power trying to decide which color to buy. Both looked great in their own way... almost convinced myself to buy them both... In the end, I got the pink one to match my pink wall =)

Plus the matching mini stool with storage! Naturally, I got the pink version to go with my pink coat rack... The red version looks really striking doesn't it =)

Its quite compact and I can also keep more of my Kitty stuff inside =)
I went home and set it up immediately... what do you think?

Special Feature: My Hello Kitty Furnishings

What's a Hello Kitty room without a Hello Kitty table? =)

I got the classic Hello Kitty version and added some extra cuteness to it! Thought the flora version was really sweet too... too bad, only room for one table =(

Look the extra cuties =)
I also got a mini Melody table to go with my Kitty table.
Can't wait to set them up!

Special Feature: My Hello Kitty Furnishings

I collected many items to furnish the room with while I was studying and now I can finally put them to use! The floor of my room is a plain milky white and does not really complement my theme =( So, I went searching for a Hello Kitty rug to lay in middle of the room. A thorough search online and some local shopping found me potential three rugs. Design 1: 5 Kitty heads and Pink Roses (left). Design 2: Big Kitty with dinner theme (above) and Design 3: Big Kitty with Cute Sheep rug (below right)...

To help me decide, I put the three designs together so that I can see which goes better with the bed I'd decided.
Guess which design I picked? =)

Next I also found this set of really sweet Hello Kitty curtains to cover my brown windows... The design features Hello Kitty with Roses and comes in both Day and Night curtains... it's so pretty =)

Finally! I can start...

First things first, I need to clear the furniture and unnecessary stuff... this is hard work... but not the toughest task yet... ;) Bye my plain green curtains, hee... (busy, busy) All cleared!
Next, I've patched the walls... need to wait some hours for them to dry (impatient!) Just can't wait to start painting the walls!
=) Pink is such a happy, sweet color!
And the name of this lovely shade of pink is, "Misty Rose"
(above) My trusty tools!
(below) Tah Dah!!! Done! My wall of pink =)
Gosh, 3 more sides to paint... this is really hard work...
Hello Kitty! Motivate me!
See my can of lovely green paint... its called, "Charming"
Yes, very charming indeed...

It's so exciting to see how the room will turn out after I'm done...
Check out the contrast above... I've always loved the combination of minty green and strawberry pink. Making me crave for a Mint and Strawberry sundae =) Yummy... mustn't get distracted...
Finally! I've finished two sides! Gosh, its way past midnight I think I'll stop now... Can't wait to finish but I'm too tired to go on... *Yawn*  and my arms are super achy. At least I've got slimmer arms now hee =)

Step 2: And all the rest...

I have a TV in my room so I went and got this really simple and compact shelf for it. It's called the LACK corner TV bench, no points for guessing where it's from =) I'm happy that it fitted nicely into a corner as I took a gamble and convinced my hubby that, "Yes, it would surely work! Trust me! Don't you trust me?" (trying to put on my 'I'm-the-best-sales-person-in-the-world' look). I'm using a flat-screen so there is still plenty of space in front of the TV to display some of my kitty collection.
I couldn't decide if a wardrobe would be suitable or if I should just get a dresser. So, I spent some time walking around furniture shops to see if I could find anything suitable.
Wardrobe: more space for clothes.
Dresser: more space for display.

Look, I found a really cool study table with plenty of shelf space (right) and also took a picture of one of the beds I'd short listed (below). Looks quite comfy, don't you think? =)
